Truth or Dare Wheel

Spin it if you dare. The wheel decides truth or dare for you — so the game keeps moving and no one weasels out. Free, instant and fair.

Edit the mix — add Group Dare, Skip (1 free pass) or Truth ×2

Big group, long night? The Pick Me app saves your crew's custom wheel, adds a finger chooser to pick who spins first, and never interrupts the party with an ad.

How to play truth or dare with a wheel

Truth or dare is a great game with one design flaw: the person whose turn it is gets to choose. And be honest — you always pick truth. The wheel fixes that. It takes the choice out of your hands, which is exactly what makes it fun again.

  1. Circle up. Grab your friends, sit somewhere comfy, and agree on the mix on the wheel above (the starter set is three Truths, two Dares and a Double Dare).
  2. Spin in turn. Go around the circle. On your turn, hit Spin the Wheel and it lands on Truth or Dare for you — no negotiating, no chickening out.
  3. Answer or perform. Truth means you answer honestly. Dare means you do the thing. Then it's the next player's turn to spin.

That's the whole loop. Because the wheel is the referee, the game moves fast and nobody spends five minutes bargaining their way from a dare down to a soft little truth. Need prompts? We wrote forty good ones below.

20 truth questions (all SFW)

Funny, faintly embarrassing, occasionally revealing — but always safe for a mixed room. Read one aloud when the wheel lands on Truth.

  1. What's the most embarrassing song you secretly love and know every word to?
  2. What's the last thing you searched on your phone?
  3. What's a small lie you've told this week?
  4. Who in this room would you want on your team in a zombie apocalypse, and why?
  5. What's the most childish thing you still do?
  6. What's a weirdly specific thing that makes you irrationally angry?
  7. What's the worst haircut you've ever had?
  8. What's a talent you have that nobody here knows about?
  9. What's the strangest thing you've ever eaten?
  10. What's your most-used emoji, and what does it say about you?
  11. What's a fashion trend you fully committed to and now regret?
  12. What's the pettiest reason you've ever gone quiet on someone?
  13. What's the last thing that made you cry — happy or sad?
  14. What's a rule you break constantly and feel zero guilt about?
  15. What's the most embarrassing thing on your watch history right now?
  16. If your life had a theme song, what would play when you walk into a room?
  17. What's the biggest fib on your résumé or a dating profile?
  18. What's a compliment you secretly give yourself?
  19. What's the most trouble you got into as a kid?
  20. Who was your most cringe-worthy celebrity crush?

20 dares (physical comedy, indoor-safe)

All harmless, all doable in a living room, none of them mean. When the wheel says Dare, pick one — or let the group choose.

  1. Do your best impression of another player until someone guesses who it is.
  2. Talk in a movie-trailer voice until your next turn.
  3. Let the person on your left restyle your hair however they like.
  4. Do a full catwalk strut across the room and back.
  5. Balance a spoon on your nose for 20 seconds.
  6. Speak only in questions until your next turn.
  7. Do 10 star jumps while singing the chorus of your favourite song.
  8. Try to lick your own elbow (spoiler: you can't) for a solid 15 seconds.
  9. Let the group name an emoji and act it out — no words.
  10. Do your best robot dance for 30 seconds, no music required.
  11. Send the third person in your recent contacts a single banana emoji.
  12. Wear your socks on your hands until your next turn.
  13. Give a dramatic, tearful acceptance speech for an award you invent on the spot.
  14. Do a glowing TV commercial for the nearest random object.
  15. Keep a straight face while everyone tries to make you laugh for 30 seconds.
  16. Swap one item of clothing with the player on your right for a round.
  17. Do a slow-motion action-movie walk to the kitchen and back.
  18. Narrate everything you do out loud until your next turn.
  19. Invent a secret handshake with the player across from you and perform it.
  20. Hold a plank while you answer the next player's question.

House rules that keep it fun

The difference between a great night and a bad one is a few small agreements made before the first spin. Ours:

  • Consent first. Anyone can swap a dare for a truth once per round, no questions asked and no penalty. A dare only works if everyone's genuinely up for it.
  • Nothing leaves the room. No dares that involve strangers, neighbours, going outside, or anything you'd have to explain to a landlord tomorrow.
  • Camera-free by default. No filming or posting anyone without a clear yes. What happens in the circle stays in the circle.
  • Drinks are optional and never required. Truth or dare is fun stone-cold sober. Nobody has to drink to play, and "I don't want to" is always a complete answer.

Level it up

Once the basic loop feels routine, add a couple of spicier slices to the wheel:

  • Double Dare. When the wheel lands here, the group designs the dare together. Democratic chaos, and usually the highlight of the night.
  • Hot Seat. Three rapid-fire truths, back to back, with no time to think. Add a "Hot Seat" line to the wheel and let fate assign it.
  • Custom forfeits. Want your own themed penalties instead of stock dares? Build a dedicated forfeit wheel with your inside jokes and spin that when a dare comes up.
  • Settle the arguments. When two people can't agree whether a dare was "completed", let the Magic 8 Ball be your impartial oracle. Its verdict is final.

Truth or dare wheel FAQ

How do you play truth or dare with a wheel?
Circle up, then take turns spinning. The wheel decides whether the current player gets a truth or a dare — so there's no more “you always pick truth” negotiation. They answer or perform, then the next player spins. The wheel is the referee, which means nobody can quietly dodge the dare they’d normally talk their way out of.
Can I change the odds of truth versus dare?
Yes — the wheel is just the lines in the box. Add “Dare” twice for a braver night, drop in a “Double Dare” or “Group Dare”, or add “Skip” as a one-time free pass. Every line is its own equal slice, so the mix is entirely yours.
Where do I find good dares that aren't mean?
We wrote 20 indoor-safe, physical-comedy dares above — impressions, catwalks, robot dances, nothing cruel. Pair them with the house rule that anyone can swap a dare for a truth once per round, and no one ends up cornered.
Is this age-appropriate?
The 40 prompts on this page are all SFW and family-friendly. You control the wheel, though — build a spicier or tamer set to match your group, and keep the consent rule so everyone stays comfortable.
Can the wheel pick who goes next?
Yes. Put your players’ names on the spinner wheel and spin to choose who’s up, or use the finger chooser in the Pick Me app — everyone presses a finger to the screen and it picks one at random.
Is anything I type stored anywhere?
No. The wheel runs entirely in your browser — nothing you type is saved, sent or tracked, and your custom mix disappears the moment you close the tab.
Is the truth or dare wheel free?
Completely free, with no ads, no sign-up and no limit on how many rounds you play.
